Traci M. Truehill

Traci M. Truehill - Youth Director Traci M. Truehill was born on November 15, 1978 in New Orleans, LA. At the young age of 6 she accepted Christ into her life and began her walk of faith.She received her earliest education in the public schools of New Orleans, and later attended Eleanor McMain Magnet Secondary Senior High School.She continued her education at Tulane University of New Orleans.In 1992, while a student at Eleanor McMain Magnet School she began working with her father at the Faith in Action Evangelistic Team Center as a Receptionist and File clerk.There she learned a strong work ethic, and a variety of skills that have stayed with her throughout her adult life.Her work in the ministry has continued since then, and in 2004 she was appointed the Director of the Youth Department at First United.Since being on staff, she has grown tremendously.She works with a spirit of excellence and self-motivation that encourages and inspires others.

Being a former principal dancer with the Dasher Dance Company of Oakland, California and an aspiring thespian, Traci has brought a form of praise and worship that has sparked a fire in the Youth of First United Baptist Church.Under her leadership, the church dance group and drama guild have put on concerts and plays that have glorified and magnified the Lord.She has been a strong and positive influence in the lives of the youth, especially the girls, and has been able to lead them closer to the Lord, and to their place of service.

Traci was Chairwoman for the annual "Youth Explosion" for three years running, the largest event on the church calendar.With multiple activities, including food, movies, games, concerts, and health screenings just to name a few, she coordinated this large event with excellence and grace.Traci is a valued member of W.A.V.E. (Women Acting with Vision and Empowerment - the Women's Ministry of First United), and plays a vital role in our yearly Mother's Day / Women's Day Service.She has also chaired the Sweetheart Banquet for several years.

Traci is currently pursuing her life long passion in acting and will be attending the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, CA in January 2007.
