"The ACT is important for college admission and it helps place students in the correct subject levels," said Pam Truhett, ESF CAPP manager."The test is also important for scholarships."
Students needing additional assistance can visit ESF CAPP resource centers and consult with professional counselors and take advantage of the many college planning resources in printed form and online, Truhett said.
The centers are located at 2600 Lakeland Terrace, open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and the Eudora Welty Library, open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon.
Additional ACT workshops will be held Feb. 1 and March 22.Advance registration is requested.
"We love partnering with the Junior League," said Truhett."It has been a wonderful partnership for us and it allows us to expand our services in the state."
The Junior League and ESF CAPP are also working together on four financial aid workshops beginning in January and February.
