   Fulton County Auditor, John Trudel was present to confirm his retirement effective April 30th of 2001 and to entertain questions or discussions concerning that announcement. Commissioner Graf stated that John had worked for 4 years as Treasurer before being elected to serve as Auditor and has worked 14 years in that position. Mr. Trudel said that Grace Amstutz was Treasurer when he started working for the County and when she ran successfully for County Auditor in 1982, he was appointed to fill her vacancy He added that after 4 years, she decided not to run for reelection and he then ran for Fulton County Auditor - the rest is history.
   
   Commissioner Genter asked if Mr. Trudel's appointment would be through the Central Committee. Mr. Trudel said the permanent appointment would be. He said that the Board will appoint an interim, and then the Central Committee has to wait 10 days and would have a maximum of 45 days to make the appointment to fill the unexpired term. Mr. Trudel said that person would have to run for the position in 2002 because the term ends in March of 2003. Commissioner Graf said that the appointment would be made in ample time so there is no time lapse.
   
   Mr. Trudel said theoretically he is supposed to stay away 2 months.

   Mr. Trudel said that he would be gone a few days in February but he would be around to take care of the board of revisions and the school budgets.
