Frances K. Truax
Frances Kleber Truax was born Nov. 13 , 1899 in Dallas Texas , and died June 11 , 2001 , after a long illness.Frances was born in Dallas to F.M and Abbie Kleber.

Frances graduated from Dallas High School and attended SMU where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and was a Rotunda Beauty.She was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation , which her family helped establish.In 1921 she married W.W. ( Bill ) Truax , who was the city editor of the old Dallas Journal - the evening paper of the Dallas News.When the Journal was sold he joined the staff of the.He was on the news staff until he retired as assistant managing editor.

Shortly after that , Frances moved to Denton to Good Samaritan Village.Frances' passion was gardening.At one point she wrote a gardening column for the Dallas News.She was a founding member of the Bluff View Garden Club.She was also a member of the Altar Guild at the Church of the Incarnation and a volunteer in their Thrift House on Routh Street.
Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law , Joan and Jerry Flanery ; granddaughter and husband , Kathy and David Turner ; grandsons.Pat Flanery , Mike Flanery and his wife Paula Frazier ; great-grandchildren , Bill Turner , wife Libreta , Michael Turner , Colin , Ryan , Megan and Frazier Flanery ; great-great-grandchild , Clara Elizabeth Turner ; niece , Linda Tubbs ; nephews , Michael Kleber , A.R. and Robert White and their families.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband Bill ; her mother and father , F.M. and Abbie Kleber ; three brothers , Fred , Jack and George Kleber ; one sister , Amelia White ; and a grandson , Tom Flanery.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday , June 14 , 2001 , at Restland Memorial Park with the Rev. Clint Loveall , associate pastor of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton , officiating.
