Evelyn Truax , 71PLYMOUTH , N.C. ---- Evelyn Klass Truax , 71 , died Monday , Jan.1 , 2001 , in Plymouth , N.C.Born Jan.29 , 1929 , in Beaufort County , N.C. , she lived in Oceanside.She was an administrative assistant for the Oceanside School District and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Vista.Mrs. Truax was preceded in death by her mother and father , Isabelle Diggs Klass and William Robert Klass ; and her husband , Thomas M. Truax , in May 1992.She is survived by her sons , Thomas M. Truax Jr. , William R. Truax and David M. Truax , all of Oceanside ; daughters Linda M. Truax-Jacobs of Ashland , Ore. , and Sharon I. Beitzell of Minneapolis ; sister-in-law Frances Klass of Plymouth ; and granddaughter Melissa Beitzell.A funeral service was held Thursday , Jan.4 , at the Chapel of the Horner-Walker Funeral Home in Plymouth.Interment will take place at Davenport Cemetery.A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. today , Jan.
