Darci L. Truax

Darci Truax says, "We know we put our tongue up and go back and put our tongue up again for dad.But they don't remember how they got there."Truax is a speech pathologist at Deaconess Billings Clinic.She's one of the first lines of defense for parents with a child diagnosed with autism.She says, "I try to involve the children in play, interacting with me, I like to set up a need for communication with communication temptations."Truax says that helps with a child's speech, but it can also help them form meaningful interaction, as well.
