Are your Emergency Response Team - First Responders prepared for a terrorist threat or bombing?Mr. Truax will discuss the Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings (IRTB) Program.It was developed to make first responders aware of the many aspects they may encounter regarding terrorist bombings both pre and post blast.It helps responders recognize potential vulnerabilities, heighten their awareness and increase their knowledge of bomb threats.
The IRTB Program was developed by the Office of Domestic Preparedness in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.Mr. Truax was in the 6th Army's Demolition and Boobytrap School at Fort Lewis Washington; he has conducted over 3,500 hours of instruction in Demolitions and Boobytraps; he is an Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff with the Geauga County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit; and he is a bomb detection dog handler and consultant with Command K-9, Inc. a private security and consulting firm.
