Trowbridge first participated in the art fair 30 years ago.

He began his art career as a creative illustrator and graphic design artist at Beech Aircraft, operated his own gallery in Newton from 1975 to 1978, and relocated to California.

Back in Hutchinson, he's attended the fair and visited with artist friends over the past several years.

This year he's showing about 50 pieces.

"I'm putting frames on pictures, and we're in pretty good shape," Trowbridge said by mid-week.

In addition to the Art Fair, Trowbridge will display his watercolors and acrylics at the Hutchinson Library during August.

"If they miss me at the show, they can look for me at the library," he said.
