    Samuel Trosow, an associate professor in the Faculty of Law at The University of Western Ontario, specializes in copyright and information law and is available to speak to the announcement that Viacom has sued YouTube and owner Google Inc. for more than $1 billion for violating its copyrights.

    The civil suit, filed March 13 in a federal court in Manhattan, alleged that with "brazen disregard" YouTube users posted and watched unauthorized copies of Viacom's television shows including SpongeBob SquarePants, South Park and The Colbert Report.
