    In honor of its 5th year anniversary, Aikido Kenkyukai Santa Barbara is proud to be hosting Steve Trinkle, the founder of AiKi Conflict Transformation for a Workshop.

    Steve lived, studied, and taught in Japan for four years.Now based in Philadelphia, he has been working with addicts and their families since 1992 and has earned a black belt in Aikido from his teacher, Lia Suzuki of Santa Barbara.He incorporates Aikido and AiKi Conflict Transformation training in his private practice and his work at Penn Foundation, a treatment center for patients with severe mental health and addiction problems.

    In addition to this work he is involved with Lia in training counselors, psychologists, criminal justice workers, and others in applying Aikido principles to their work in the human services and behavioral health fields.Some projects that Steve and Lia have collaborated on include:
