After graduation from Medical School at Lugansk (Ukraine) Medical Institute and receiving her MD degree, Dr. Marina Tourkova worked for 18 years at a Lugansk Regional Psychiatric Hospital in Ukraine. She progressed there from a Staff Attending at Substance Abuse Unit/Rehab Program to a Unit Chief/Assistant Professor at Acute Psychiatric Unit. After coming to the U.S., Dr. Tourkova initially worked as a Therapist/Counselor with geriatric population and then entered a Psychiatry Residency Training at Westchester Medical Center/Behavioral Health Center, Valhalla, NY. She completed PGY I-IV there and then a required Curriculum in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at Psychoanalytic Institute at New York Medical College. Then Dr. Tourkova completed PGY V at Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York. She is a certified Geriatric /General Psychiatrist.Dr. Tourkova is a Medical Director of the Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry, P.C., Hackensack, NJ, which performs psychiatric services at several locations of New Jersey.
