   Stephen Tong received his B.A. from the University of British Columbia in 1992 and his LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1998.
   
   Stephen practices corporate and securities law with a focus on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and corporate governance. Stephen has acted for a variety of corporate clients, both domestic and international, that he has advised on transactions such as plans of arrangement and amalgamations, initial and secondary public offerings, private placement financings, corporate governance matters, divestitures and other securities law transactions. He has advised numerous clients on listing matters on the major Canadian stock exchanges and in cross border financings and merger transactions. Stephen primarily acts for emerging technology companies and venture capital corporations, but has also acted for companies in other sectors including mining, oil and gas and industrial. From time to time Stephen has also acted as counsel for underwriters.
   
   In his spare time, Stephen plays rugby for the U.B.C. Old Boys RFC and is the Head Coach of the U.B.C. Women's Varsity Rugby program.
