Dr. Tischler graduated from the University of British Columbia Medical School.He completed his specialty training at McGill University, Montreal, obtaining his FRCSC in Canada.He subsequently completed his fellowship training at the Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington D.C. and attained his American Board certification.
Dr. Tischler maintains a large private practice in North Vancouver and is on active staff at Lions Gate Hosptial and B.C. Children's Hosptial.He is also a clinical instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of British Columbia.Dr. Tischler has extensive experience in cataract and refractive surgical subspecialties.
