"It's quite an adjustment when they start their first rotation," Tippy said."There is more pressure this year and more work. There is a lot to learn."
A test is given at the end of each rotation.Tippy said the students are well prepared by the experience, scoring in the top percentile nationally.
"The hospital has been very receptive to the students.Everyone is really nice to them and the doctors enjoy working with them," Tippy said.
Doctors also receive Continuing Medical Education credits for instructing the students.
When the students finish at RMH, they will enter into their preceptorship for the final two months of the PA Program before graduating in August of 2005.
