   Timmerman joins BCH staff: She came a long way to do it, but Petra Timmerman, who graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Netherlands in 1982 and plied her trade in Germany for 15 years, is now the newest member of the top-notch physical therapy team at Boundary Community Hospital. Petra came to the U.S. in 1997, working with a Washington, D.C. physician who specialized in neurological treatment for children and adults, most suffering injuries sustained in car accidents. In September, 2001, Petra happened to visit Boundary County for the first time, saw an ad for a position at the hospital, and decided to apply. She was here September 11; when many of her patients lost family in the attack on the Pentagon. While the incident didn't sway her, it solidified her commitment to the community; it was time, she said, to make a choice. She chose Boundary County.
