I commend The Record for its coverage of the recent Remembrance Day services. But I was saddened to read two articles on Nov. 12 about the supposed remembrance services held at two area high schools: Iraq Sanctions Slammed and Pacifist's Peaceful Message Puts Human Face On Sept. 11.
Rather than remember those who paid the supreme sacrifice for our freedom and to protect those who could not defend themselves, they provided a cheap forum for their speakers to partake in current political debate. It's unfortunate that these two schools chose this day to further the agendas of these people rather than pay tribute to those soldiers.
