Tim Timberlake's long career at WRVA began during college and continued as he became helicopter traffic reporter in 1974 and later co-host with the legendary Alden Aaroe from 1985 until 1993, and then anchor for the WRVA Morning Show from 1993 - 2001.; He was also co-anchor of WWBT's 12 News At Noon from 1990 - 1995, and was the original host of the station's 12 On Your Side feature.
Tim is a recipient of the Frank Soden Lifetime Achievement Award from the Richmond Broadcasters Hall of Fame, the Virginia Association of Broadcasters Meritorious Award for Best Morning Show, and the Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters' Douglas Southall Freeman Award.
In his free time, Tim serves on the executive boards of the Heart of Virginia Council, Boy Scouts of America and Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.He chairs the board of JAMinc, a non-profit dedicated to acoustic roots music.He's a director of the Huguenot Hundred Community Association and an elder at Hebron Presbyterian Church.He holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Randolph-Macon College.
