Ruth Timberlake-Prokop has over 25 years experience as a litigator in U.S. District Courts and as appellate counsel in U.S. Courts of Appeal.She was a senior partner in law firms located in Washington, D.C. and New York City.In addition, she has extensive experience in the U.S. government.She served as a White House legislative aide under President Johnson and was appointed General Counsel, Department of Housing and Urban Development by President Carter.During her tenure as General Counsel of HUD, she was involved in litigation relating to nuclear and hazardous waste at DOE's Rocky Flats facility.Since 1997, she has consulted with the Los Alamos Study Group on a wide variety of legal issues, including civil rights, environmental law, FOIA, qui tam actions, administrative procedures, RCRA, and environmental justice.
