   Having graduated in Science from Jai Hind College, Rahul went on to study Law from Jitendra Chauhan College of Law and emerged a Law graduate as well.
   
   Being a man of tough mettle, Rahul obviously commenced his career in steel business. He was in this business till 1987 and was an active Director of Bombay Iron Merchants Association for nine years. Thereafter he ventured into tourism. He made his mark in the lifestyle and luxury of people through his company. M/s. La Tim Lifestyle & Resorts Ltd. He led his company as the Chairman and Managing Director, setting new benchmarks of luxury and lifestyle through his reputed resorts. He is also into the field of Farm Houses in Panvel and its vicinity and his company is a name to reckon with. He is a man with unending ambitions, looking for tapping the unlimited resources in the areas of tourism and holidays. He wishes to take his business to new heights in the fields of tourism and agriculture. He is in the business of agriculture, construction, farmhouses and hotels / resorts.
   
   Rotary invited Rahul into its fold in 1988 when he joined as a Charter Member of Rotary Club of Bombay Airport. He led the club as President and went on to shoulder higher responsibilities as District Chairman of RYLA, Rotaract, MIPS and IYE Programme. He was the Chairman of Community Service IV in the year 1995-96. He was instrumental in making RYLA and IYE Programme very popular in our District. He was invited to be the Assistant Governor in 1999-2000 and again in 2000-01. He was Governor's Special Aide and was given a special assignment in 2001-2002. He served as the District Secretary in 2002-2003.

   Rahul is a personal friend - our association goes back to more than 10 years from the year 1992-93, when both of us were batch mates - Co-presidents in that year. Ever since I had the pleasure to observe this quiet individual's passion for Rotary, specifically RYLA and IYE programmes. He goes about doing his job in the most unassuming manner but there is a passion and commitment underneath.
