Peter Tilley, the founder and inspiration behind the the UK's first superdealer, Copygraphic died yesterday.
Peter was larger than life, a really driving force, a supersalesman and great fun. He founded Copygraphic on the Chiswick High Road in the mid 70's and by
the late 80's was racing towards £20M in Sales. Peter introduced a unique selling formula…highly charged sales people offering high discounts on the Spicers catalogue…since copied by hundreds of dealers. Copygraphic were leaders in personality selling and boy, did everyone associated with the company enjoy themselves.
Personally, Peter Tilley was a great mentor and I will forever remember him…he had a masters degree in common sense.
