This wouldn't be the first time Pat Tilley had defied the odds.As a member of the (then) St. Louis Cardinals from 1976-86, Tilleywasn't exactly what one would think of as an NFL wide receiver.He wasn'tbig and tall at 5-10 and 178 pounds but he was talented.It took just onehit for Pat Tilley to know he had made it in the NFL.Against the extra aggressive Oakland Raiders, Tilley ran a crossingpattern, made the catch and was hit by Jack "The Assassin" Tatum."He hit meand knocked me 30 feet," recalls Tilley.
