In his 14 years of law practice, Glen has achieved substantial success in nearly every field of law.Glen joined Simmons Law Group, P.A. as a Partner in May of 2005 and now leads our collections and commercial litigation practice.He is an approved member of the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals / Members' Attorney Program, and handles numerous legal matters in the county, circuit and federal courts throughout the State of Mississippi . Glen and his wife, Julie, reside in Jackson and have two children, Trey and Kayla.He and his family are members of Christ United Methodist Church . He enjoys time with his family, world history, nearly all sports, and teaching his children the game of golf.
Much of Glen's practice involves collections and commercial litigation.In this regard, he provides legal services to various types of businesses including retail and real estate companies, financial and lending institutions, hospitals, medical clinics, dental clinics and other creditors in the collection of delinquent accounts and the enforcement of promissory notes and other contracts.
He has represented a variety of creditors and collectors in the defense of Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act and related claims.
Glen has practiced in the field of personal injury since 1991.He handles car wrecks, slip and falls, medical and nursing malpractice cases, pedestrian suits, bad faith, Mississippi Tort Claims Act suits, 1983 actions, employment disputes, sexual discrimination and harassment cases, products liability, malicious prosecution, wrongful arrest, wrongful eviction, slander, among others.
In addition, he represents numerous individuals and businesses in various general litigation matters.His experience in this area of practice includes: insurance litigation and defense, condominium (assessment) disputes, slander of title, declaratory relief actions, various bankruptcy matters, contract disputes, landlord / tenant, gaming law, construction law, breach of warranty, qui tam (whistleblowers action), copyright infringement, zoning, use permit and related matters, among others.
Glen also bring to the firm substantial experience in family and other domestic matters which includes having handled numerous cases in the following areas: contested divorces, ID divorces, separate maintenance, contempt and modification proceedings, minor affairs and guardianships, conservatorships, wills, estates, will contests, among many others.He has tried cases before all of the current Hinds and Rankin County Chancellors, and has handled contested Chancery matters in Madison and Holmes Counties , among others.
Glen also works with record companies, music publishers, artists, producers, songwriters, promoters and others in the entertainment business.He establishes right corporate structure to meet the needs of each client, prepares and negotiates the various contracts, and walks his clients through maze of music law.
He has set up numerous corporations and LLCs including drafting the bylaws and operating agreements to suit the specific needs of each client.He has worked with medical clinics, real estate and condominium developers, hospices, entertainment related companies, gaming companies, security companies, and private investigators, among others.
