   SIOUXSIE TIETIJIE, CHARTER TEACHER TRUCKEE LEARNING CENTER
   
   This is Siouxsie Tietijie's third year working for the Truckee Learning Center. She is very excited to be a part of the Twin Ridges Home Study Charter School and looks forward to collaborating with families to develop successful education plans, teaching enriching experiential classes, and continuing to be supportive throughout the year. She strongly believes in excellent alternative choices for schooling.
   
   Siouxsie earned her BA in Anthropology/Sociology at St. Mary's College in Moraga. She continued her education at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nevada and received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Following that, she began working with Prosser Creek Charter School in Truckee as a fifth and sixth grade teacher. She recently attended a "Positive Discipline in the Classroom" workshop which expanded her ability to support and encourage students.
   
   Siouxsie loves to study various cultures; she has traveled to Europe, different parts of Central America and to Venezuela. She moved to the Lake Tahoe area four years ago and believes she has found her place. She is drawn to the outdoors: the beach, the trails, and the magnificent scenery. Furthermore, she enjoys volleyball, yoga classes and snowboarding.
