Sam Thornton's experiences in working and travelling in the Third world, particularly Africa, has meant that he has helped greatly in the logistical side of Tackle Africa.His interests are football, rugby and live music, not to mention his VFR 750 motorcycle, which he uses when he gets the chance loves to take touring around Europe and the UK.

Sam taught in Tanzania for 9 months in 1995 and has also worked on a game farm and road building project in Kenya.At the moment he is currently studying for a masters degree in building surveying at Bristol, where he has recently settled.
