Jack Thompson Joins Carter & Burgess
4/2/01
Carter & Burgess is pleased to announce the addition of Jack Thompson, who will serve as project manager with the Fort Worth Facilities Management/Information Technology studio within the Facilities Division of Carter & Burgess.
With more than 22 years of experience, Thompson will assist the firm in developing multidiscipline construction plan review services for new and existing construction projects. Non-structural plan review services will be offered to government regulatory agencies, and architectural and engineering firms for commercial and residential projects.
Before joining Carter & Burgess, Thompson retired from the city of Arlington, Texas, having served as assistant director of community development for 12 years. After retirement, Thompson served two years as the building official for a municipality within the Dallas-Fort Worth region, where he was directly responsible for multidiscipline plan review and inspection activities for all commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local codes.
As co-founder of the American Association of Code Enforcement of Texas, Thompson had the opportunity to oversee the development of four national certification programs, in conjunction with the International Conference of Building Officials, which served to increase life safety standards within the built environment.
