  Ever since Director, Alan Thomas, visited Romania at the beginning of the 1990's he has had a dream of returning with rugby kit and balls.He would not be the first to undertake such a venture.

  We received feedback from Alan Thomas of Sporting Chance International yesterday.He has forwarded the letter to the Director of the organization in Nairobi, and the organization will keep us in mind for their next shipment of sports equipment.

  After working for SCI in Kenya for 12 weeks in 2005, Peter returned to Kenya with Director Alan Thomas in August, then again with several friends in March 2006.He was so moved by his experiences that he is now looking to set up his own UK based charity.He will be involved with two orphanages in Kitale, Western Kenya.He is hoping to do the Truro half marathon to raise funds.

  Alan Thomas is the Director of Sporting Chance International. A former PE teacher from St. Ives, Cornwall, he is currently subject leader for ICT at a Hayle Community School. Alan has vast experience working with young people in sports, camps and outdoor activities for over 30 years. His tremendous enthusiasm for SCI is a key factor in its success.
