  Heather Tesch is co-anchor of "Your Weather Today," a two-hour morning weather program seen Monday through Friday from 7-9 a.m. on The Weather Channel®.As part of the morning team, Tesch is seen with co-anchor Marshall Seese, a veteran of The Weather Channel.

  Tesch comes to The Weather Channel from WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, MN, where she worked as a meteorologist on the WCCO This Morning show.She brings with her an extensive background in broadcasting and has earned the American Meteorological Society's Seal of Approval.
  
  Tesch began her career as a weathercaster in Portland, ME, at WPXT-TV in 1992 and moved to WGME-TV the following year.Later she worked at WGAL-TV in Lancaster, PA, before moving on to WCCO-TV in 1996.
  
  A native of Buffalo, MN, Tesch earned a bachelor's degree in journalism/broadcast from University of Minnesota-Minneapolis and a bachelor's degree in meteorology from Plymouth State College at Plymouth, NH.She is a member of the American Meteorological Society.

  To support her weather habit, Heather attended Plymouth State College of The University of New Hampshire, Plymouth, New Hampshire, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Meteorology and a minor in Math.Before thunderstorms caught her attention, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Journalism/Broadcast from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
  
  Although Heather first appeared on-air at The Weather Channel in January 1999, she has held various broadcasting positions around the country.Early in her career, she held reporting jobs from Brunswick, Georgia, to Corpus Christi, Texas, before becoming a Meteorologist for WPXT-TV and WGME-TV in Portland, Maine.
  
  She spent two years at WGAL-TV in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, before returning to Minnesota and WCCO-TV in Minneapolis.She has prepared forecasts for all the mediums, from camera to radio to newspapers to local businesses.
  
  Not only does Heather hold the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval, she recently served on the AMS Broadcast Board that determines whether other meteorologists can gain a Seal of Approval.
  
  Weather is not Heather's only passion "As an animal lover with three cats and one dog, I enjoy getting involved with local humane organizations that care for, protect, and find homes for neglected and abused animals."
  
  Heather also enjoys taking several hikes a week with her dog "Doppler".
