   Okwen Tenjoh-Okwen studied forestry at the University of Dschang, Cameroon, before moving over to Germany where he obtained his MSc. Since 2003, he has been working as an independent consultant for the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations, FAO. Okwen explains what the bird flu is and expresses fears of the devastating effects of the bird flu should it settle and spread in Cameroon. Yet, he hopes that with proper and effective sensitisation and preparedness, the bird flu could be checked and diverted.
