Now retired from full time coaching, Temples currently coaches the hurdles at La Costa Canyon High School. He now finds time to explore his creative side by hand carving ornate sculptures from exotic woods and is working on a commissioned piece depicting the 14 Stations of the Cross for his church, St Andrews Episcopal, in Encinitas.
