Hunter Temple

Hunter Temple retired to Santa Fe in 2001.He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University in education.Beginning his career as a history teacher in Honolulu, Hunter went on to distinguish himself in independent school education.He served as headmaster at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio from 1975-1982, and then at the Brentwood School in Los Angeles from 1982-2001, where Breakthrough Los Angeles was founded under his leadership.A reader of Advanced Placement Exams with the Educational Testing Service, Hunter is also a private pilot and former member of the U.S. Triathlon Team.He twice competed in the Hawaiian Ironman competition.Hunter recently joined Tesuque Search and Rescue as a volunteer and is a member of the board of the Santa Fe Symphony.He and his wife, Priscilla, enjoy spending time with their three children and five grandchildren.

Full-time journalism teaching position for 2001-2002 will be open at South Eugene High School , Eugene , Oregon.Language arts certification is preferred.Classes include two journalism classes , newspaper , yearbook , and one other class.South's award-winning newspaper , The Axe , and the yearbook , the Eugenean , are produced using PageMaker with photos scanned in Adobe Photoshop.

Hunter Temple serves on the Board's Committee on Trustees.He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University.He taught history and economics in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was headmaster of the Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio as well as the Brentwood School in Los Angeles, California for almost 20 years.Prior to knee surgery, Hunter was also a member of the U.S. Triathlon team competing in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States, and was a two-time participant in the Hawaiian Ironman competition.He and his wife, Priscilla, have three children and five grandchildren.
