Swindon-based Equiinet , the fast-growing European leader in internet server appliances , has appointed Dr. Gordon Temple as chief executive officer.

Dr. Temple joins Equiinet after seven years as managing director of ICG , a manufacturer of colour scanners and laser imaging equipment.Prior to joining ICG in 1992 , he spent seven years as technical director of Marconi Instruments.

While at ICG , Gordon Temple led the venture capital-backed acquisition of the company from GEC and the sale to Global Graphics in 1999.
