   Jim joined East West Partners in 1987 and has worked on numerous development projects in Vail, Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, and Cordillera.Previously, Jim worked for Vail Resorts.
   
   EDUCATION
   
   Jim earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana University.He is a CPA in both Colorado and Indiana.
   
   COMMUNITY SERVICE
   
   Jim is a member of the Urban Land Institute.He currently serves on the Board of Directors for three affordable housing projects and is a board member of Ski and Snowboard Club Vail.
   
   PERSONAL
   
   Jim, his wife Patti and children Taylor and Lindsey currently reside in Edwards, Colorado.His interests include trail running, snowshoeing, telemark skiing, and camping.

   Vail Resort Development Company's Mark Thorne and East West Partners' Jim Telling expressed their view on why Bachelor Gulch has been such an enormous success.

   Telling is a principal of East West Partners in charge of its Bachelor Gulch's properties.These include the aforementioned Snow Cloud as well as the Deer Trail neighborhood of single-family homes, the Bear Paw Lodge condominiums, and the Buckhorn and Quartermoon townhomes and condominiums.
   
   Thorne and Telling listed several major features that attract Bachelor Gulch purchasers.

   "In this case, it is the tremendous ski in/ski out access that approximately 85 percent of Bachelor Gulch residences offer," said Telling.

   A second major draw at Bachelor Gulch, according to Telling, is the incredible long views of the surrounding peaks and valleys."Few ski resorts are physically situated to offer such panoramic views," said Telling.

   Telling noted that this affluence has spread beyond the traditional demographic boundaries.For example, he reports that not only are older executives buying the upscale properties of Bachelor Gulch, but also people in their thirties and forties who have reaped the rewards of healthy investments.
   
   The health of the economy has also allowed Bachelor Gulch to be developed much faster than originally planned, which has made it easier for the original vision to be implemented."Because it moved so quickly, there's been the ability to stay within the concept," said Telling.
