Mori is one of a group of high schoolers who have applied for internships with NORPAC, the National Organization Political Action Committee, which hosted the Dec. 19 fund-raiser meeting at the Springfield home of Jeff Kigner.

Those chosen will get to meet political leaders, as Teitz did at the gathering, and play an active role in the organization's efforts to promote pro-Israel candidates from both parties and to foster the relationship between Israel and the United States.

At that meeting in Springfield, Mori showed herself to be just that. She is the daughter of Avraham and Deborah Teitz, the granddaughter of Rabbi Elazar Teitz of Elizabeth. She is president of Bruriah's Israel Action Committee and next year plans to do a year of national service in Israel. She is planning to go on aliya and to make a career in politics in Israel, either as a teacher or a member of the Knesset - or both.
Through the school's Israel action committee, with fund-raising and advocacy programs, she tries "to incite a desire to strengthen American-Israeli relations."If chosen as a NORPAC intern, she said, "I will use my passion, creativity, and good work ethic to further NORPAC's influence on Congress and strengthen America's bond with Israel."
