In her previous position as inventory management manager for Client Global accounts, Teig was responsible for achieving client objectives and contractual guarantees for customer service and inventory investment levels. She was also responsible for growing business relationships while ensuring client satisfaction, interfacing with research and IT teams, and supporting global account strategies.
Teig has been an active member of SWE since starting college in 1984. In 1992, after joining Caterpillar, she and fellow women engineers chartered a local section of SWE serving professional technical women in Central Illinois. Subsequently, Teig held offices as vice president, treasurer, section representative, and newsletter editor. Teig is also a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
Teig has actively promoted professional growth with her staff through daily leadership and guidance. For each employee, she developed yearly goals, personalized training plans, and development paths. As a result, several staff members were promoted to more advanced positions based on superior job performance.
Teig received her B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of North Dakota in 1989.
