   Orange County Transportation Authority Appoints Richard A. Teichert as New Director of Transit Operations
   
   He Will Manage the Authority's Bus Operations, Paratransit Services and Taxi Administration
   
   ORANGE - The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) recently named Riverside resident Richard A. Teichert as its new Director of Transit Operations. He will oversee the Authority's fixed-route bus operations, ACCESS paratransit services, and Taxi Administration Program.
   
   For the past six months, Teichert has led the Operations Department as its Interim Director. During that time, Teichert worked to expand OCTA's fleet of clean-burning Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) buses while focusing attention on the needs of OCTA passengers and working to create an even better package of public transit services for Orange County.
   
   Teichert's experience includes a five-year tenure as OCTA's Deputy Director of Finance and Administration, 11 years as an executive in the transit industry, and 19 years in executive management for local government in Southern California.
   
   "Rick brings a wealth of organizational and management expertise to his new position," said OCTA CEO Art Leahy.
