Anastasia Taylor-Lind, a MA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography graduate has been selected to be one of only twelve participants to be involved in this year's World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass.
Anastasia was chosen from a nominated line up of 175 candidates who originated from 62 different countries.
Her submitted portfolio was selected by an international committee from impressive industry backgrounds including Monica Allende picture editor at the
Sunday Times Magazine.
When talking about winning the award
Anastasia said "I am delighted to have been selected for the Joop Swart; it is an amazing opportunity and something that I have always aspired to."
Since graduating from
London College of Communication (LCC) in 2008,
Anastasia has already built up an amazing portfolio, having previously won a number of photography awards which can be placed alongside
her impressive clientele.
Currently based in the Middle East
her work has been exhibited internationally and
she is currently part of the VII Photo Agency mentor program an innovative online project that gives readers intimate access and insight to the work of the world's leading photojournalists.
According to Anastasia, winning the Deutsche Bank Award after graduating from LCC helped her establish her career in the Middle East.
