    After graduating, Roger Tanner (BSc Politics & Sociology 1971) spent two years in Bangor where he obtained an MA in Politics before falling into a Planning career that he is still pursuing.He stood for election to Parliament in the 1974 general election (two lost deposits).He married Caroline Rees, a solicitor, in 1992 and moved back to Cardiff, where they had girl triplets in 1995.He has two fine grown up sons by a previous marriage.He writes for the monthly planning magazine, the journal of the Royal Town Planning Institute and is the author of City of the Valley, a radical strategy for regenerating the South Wales coalfield.He is currently Strategic Planning and Urban Renewal Manager for Caerphilly County Borough Council.He would love to hear from any of his former colleagues who can remember as far back as 1971.He can be contacted at teulu.tanner@virgin.net
