Dr. Tanner is the Medical Director of the Cancer Center at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet and is the Committee Chairmen for Cancer Care at St. Joseph Medical Center.Dr. Tanner received a Bachelor of Science at Columbia University in NYC and his Doctorate of Medicine at S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo.He completed his Residency in Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.He immediately joined Midwest Radiation Consultants back in 1988 and practiced in McHenry, IL for 12 years before coming to Joliet.He is one of the founding partners at the Chicago Prostate Center and has performed hundreds of prostate implants.He has also proctored the procedures numerous times.Dr Tanner is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the AMA, ASTRO, and ASCO.He is a former board member of the McHenry Chapter of the American Cancer Society He is also on staff at Centegra Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, and Morris Hospital.His areas of expertise include IMRT, cancers of the Prostate and Lung.Dr Tanner resides in Burr Ridge with his wife and three children.EDUCATION:
