As the Vital Records Officer and Alternate COOP Planner, Sarah has gained invaluable insight in preparing for disasters. Her presentation will focus on the vital records protection policies and procedures as it relates to preparing for Homeland Security.
SPEAKER NOTES:
Sarah Swindall, CRM, earned her BA in Education from the University of North Central Oklahoma and her MS in Information Science from the University of North Texas. In 1985 Sarah earned the designation of Certified Records Manager (CRM).
Sarah is currently serving as the Vital Records Officer for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Region 6 office. As a Records Administrator she has worked on the Versatile Enterprise Records System, Alternate Task Order Project Officer on the Information Management Centers Services (ICMS) Contract, Alternate Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planner, and electronic forms administrator. Sarah is a member of the Homeland Security Team, Regional Incident Coordination Team (RICT), and Continuity of Operations Team.
Sarah has worked in all facets of the field of records management for the past 37 years including the Federal Government, public utilities, government contracting, local government and healthcare corporations.
Since 1971, Sarah has been a member of ARMA International serving in all positions of the Dallas Chapter of ARMA. She is a member of the "Environmentally Correct" Toastmasters of America Club. She is a frequent speaker at local, regional and national ARMA conferences.
