Ken is Chairman of WAM!NET.He is the former President of the Lockheed Martin Management and Data Systems Company, a $1 billion division of General Electric serving government and commercial customers with a major focus on the Intelligence Community.As President, Ken led an organization of over 7,000 employees, doubling the division's revenues, diversifying it's business base and leading it successfully through an acquisition by the Martin Marietta Company and a subsequent merger with the Lockheed Corporation.During his tenure at GE, Ken held leadership positions at GE's Space and Strategic Systems division.He led the successful development, production and launch of the multi-satellite system that has been the backbone of the nation's command and control communications since 1982.The program received the Carlucci Award as the Air Force's best managed program, and Ken received the Air Force Space Division "Award of Excellence."In recognition of his significant contribution to national security, Ken was awarded the Medal of Superior Service by the National Reconnaissance Office.He is a member of the Foreign Policy Research Institute and has participated in several recent Naval Research Advisory Committee Studies.Ken holds dual degrees from Columbia College in Liberal Arts and Electrical Engineering, and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, at sea, and as an Atomic Weapons Liaison Officer at Sandia Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico during which time he earned an MSEE from the University of New Mexico.
