Richard Swifton is the CEO and one of the main founding partners of GC in the UK and in Canada. Before founding GC in 1994, Richard worked as a stock analyst and stock promoter in New York (U.S.A) and London (U.K).As Chief Executive Officer for GC, Richard is responsible for managing and building a $500 million private equity portfolio.

He has brought his experience in strategic planning, change management and operations improvement to senior level positions, where he has developed a thorough understanding of venture capital fundamentals and practices, and to companies that are in high-growth or rapid-change industries.

Under Richard's leadership, GC is building a portfolio that focuses on investments that are based on working partnerships, providing value through our existing networks to help shape and manage long-term strategic direction and profitability.

Richard holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool (U.K.) and is a member of the Toronto Board of Trade.
