Brendan Swifte
Brendan Swifte graduated as an engineer 10 years ago.His initial focus was on stormwater products, working in Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland.Brendan entered the erosion control industry with Geofabrics in Melbourne, as the Product Manager for erosion and sedimentation control.He is now the National Sales and Marketing Manager with Maccaferri in Sydney.
The current structure within the Geofabrics group sees Brendan with product responsibility for erosion and sedimentation control products, with Geofabrics and Maccaferri representing a national product supplier in their field.A key part of Brendan's role is to provide solutions to specific problems, from all market segments, ranging from mining and civil construction through to councils or local Landcare groups.
Brendan recently joined the IECA as a director, having been involved in organising seminars with the Victorian Chapter.He sees the IECA as the vehicle for bringing together differing professions and people under a common banner,with a focus on leading debate and educating people in solving the problems of erosion and sedimentation control.
