    Ed Sweeten, Resource Management's director of acquisitions, said Stichting Bedrijfstak Pensioensonds Voor de Metalektro of the Netherlands invested in Red Mountain Timber Co., which Resource Management controls.Although the federal government's report shows foreign ownership, Sweeten said Stichting is just one of several fund investors.

    "They have minority ownership with no direct control," Sweeten said.

    Sweeten said Red Mountain has a 15-year contract to supply International Paper with wood and timber from land.

    AmSouth couldn't donate the land because of its financial obligation to investors, said Ed Sweeten, director of acquisitions at Resource Management, which manages investments for AmSouth Timber Fund.
