Megan SurattLevel 6
Megan is a Eugene native with a long history here at the Academy.She began her gymnastics career here as a toddler and continued on all the way to Level 10.She was a state and regional champion and also competed in the National championships for two years.She then went on to compete for Oregon State University Women's gymnastics team where she was team captain for two years and was voted "Most Inspirational Gymnast" for two consecutive seasons.Megan was known for the beauty of her gymnastics, especially her beautifully performed beam routines.In 2003 Megan graduated magna cum laude from OSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Sports Science.During her time on the OSU squad, she was a 2-time Pac-10 All-Academic team member.In addition to coaching our Girls Level 6 team, Megan has also served in the position of NAAG TOPs coordinator.In addition Megan has coached the Academy's Special Olympians, and her special bond with these athletes has enabled them to realize the benefits of gymnastics training.Megan plans to pursue her studies in the medical field beginning later this year at Pacific University.She will begin a program of training as a Physician's Assistant.
