Kristin Suratt - PR Kristin Suratt has loved film since she used to kiss Clark Gable's image on the family TV screen as a pre-adolescent (the films were in rerun, of course).As an ingénue, she studied acting with Olympia Dukakis and others at NYU's School of The Arts Theatre Program . Her life has taken her on interesting journeys, from living in a log cabin in the wilds of Canada (the hippie phase), to spending a year in Paris , France , where she taught English at three different language schools.During fifteen years in darlin'New Orleans, she was Advertising Director at a weekly newspaper, worked at an advertising agency, then followed her interests into the field of natural foods.In New Orleans she opened a natural café, had a catering business, and became a corporate chef.She studied raw foods with Ann Wigmore in Puerto Rico , and has recently been a chef/consultant for spa/retreat centers in Hawaii , the Philippines (where she met Imelda Marcos and the Sultan of Malaysia), and Puerto Rico . Her current job at Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg combines her love of delicious, healthy food, with her skills in teaching, writing, publicity, public relations, and event planning.She is delighted that the Mendocino Film Festival is here in beautiful, coastal northern California , which reminds her of her home state of Oregon.
