  Thomas Su is the president/CEO of Riospring Inc. in California, USA. Riospring is an R&D company specializes in small form factor hard disk drive technology and product development. Thomas also holds the position of Executive Vice President/CTO at GS Magicstor, GS Magicdrive and GS National HDD Research Center. All GS are hard disk drive R&D/ manufacturing/ sales companies located in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, China.
  
  In early 2002, Thomas co-founded Riospring. In mid 2002, Riospring engaged with GS Magicstor to produce world leading, 1", 2.4GB CF/USB/ATA HDD products. In mid 2003, Riospring engaged with GS Magicdrive to produce 1.8" HDD.
  
  Prior to his tenure at Riospring, Thomas held founder/President/CEO positions at Microstor, founder/Vice President of Engineering at Castlewood System Inc and had held various senior technical and management positions in 20 years of data storage industry in companies such as Seagate, Maxtor and Samsung.

  In its booth, Ritek showed a demonstration in which a large motion picture file was read directly from the prototype CompactStor HDD and viewed on a PC.The disc of the CompactStor HDD is Ritek's original product and, like IBM's Microdrive, is about an inch in diameter.
  
  Also, the firm is exhibiting a small optical media called "Data Play," which Ritek is planning to supply to U.S.-based DataPlay Inc. on an OEM basis.Data Play is an optical media with a 500MB capacity that can be used only with the DataPlay's own drive.The company's plan is to ship write-once media in 2001 and rewritable media in 2002.
