"The job was accidental - we came for a weekend visit to Wagin, liked what we saw and decided to see what work was available," Mrs Stroud said.
"We opened the local paper and saw the job advertised and I decided to apply because I had previous experience."
Mrs Stroud said she and her husband had settled in to Wagin life easily.
"I've already joined an exercise group and found Care and Share - I'm very interested in craft and sewing in particular," she said.
