  Grand Rapids - Janessa Stroud of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs team has recently been appointed to serve on the Green Grand Rapids steering committee. Committee appointments were approved by Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell on January 30, and Stroud was one of 30 community leaders chosen.

  As a board member, Stroud will aid in an 18-month project to review the city's 2002 Master Plan and give Grand Rapids a refresh on parks, green space, and sustainability.
  
  In addition to her duties as public policy coordinator at the Chamber, Stroud is a leader of the organization's sustainability initiative, benchmarking the Chamber's triple bottom line from economic, environmental and social perspectives and implementing changes to build a more sustainable Chamber.
