Cars are only part of the corrosive automobile industry, Strong said.Vehicles are fed by a corrosive oil industry and produced by huge car manufacturing plants that contribute significantly to global warming, she said.
"When you look at the energy to produce this fleet, it boggles the mind," she said.
Ringdal's tour comes following the throne speech that outlined a green path for B.C. in the coming years.
"We're very pleased with that turn of events," he said, adding the auto industry has been promoting green energy for the past 20 years.
