JUNCTION CITY -- Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Junction City for Arthur Otto Strauss, 87, Junction City, who died Friday, June 14, 2002, at a Junction City care center.

He was born March 11, 1915, in Geary County, to Otto C. and Augusta W. Lawrenz Strauss.He graduated from Junction City High School in 1932 and attended Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Neb., for two years.He was a teacher in Junction City for two years and then spent 18 years as a produce manager at local grocery stores.He was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for 18 years before he retired June 9, 1978.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Junction City.He was a former Sunday school superintendent, financial secretary and treasurer for Immanuel Lutheran for several years.
